WEST VIRGINIA SESQUICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION
June 20, 2013
The 150th birthday of West Virginia will be on June 20, 2013.  In order to
promote activities to the motorcoach industry and trade publications,
we need to start gathering the event information now.  As your
communities plan local events, please complete this form.  The
information will become available online for consumer use and will be
distributed through the State Welcome Centers.

Activities do not have to take place just on June 20.  Some
suggestions would be a birthday party (fair, picnic, carnival, parade, etc.)
on the day your town became incorporated, the birthday of someone
famous from your area, or the birthdate of something special opening.

PURPOSE

  • To provide for a nonprofit corporation to which all West Virginia fairs, festivals and similar groups may hold membership.
  • To be a vehicle through which general information relative to fairs and festivals may be communicated for the best interest of its 
    members and the fair and festival-going public.
  • To provide for an annual meeting.
  • To provide for a queen's competition with the winner being crowned Miss West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals.
  • To bring commercial firms to the annual convention for exhibits, sample performances, and such other reasons as would be
    beneficial to fair and festival representatives.
